About Me

Family I come from a diverse and supporting family. Both of my parents are advocates of higher education and my brother and my self have benefited from their love and guidance. I am married to a member of the Hoopa Tribe in Northern California. My son is nine.

Tribal Information I am enrolled with the Oglala Lakota (Sioux) Nation. My Family is from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. I am very proud of my Lakota heritage and implement the Medicine Wheel philosophy in my daily activities.

Football College and professional football was a great influence on my life. Athletics in general had an impact in my personal development. It taught me commitment, dedication, competition, teamwork, and discipline. I utilize all these factors in my daily activities.

Education My education was key to my success professionally, socially, and personally. The knowledge attainment and experiential influence of higher education developed my capacity to do what I feel is good for society and "Indian Country" from my contemporary Native perspective. Education is always the underlying key and focus of my presentations through public speaking.

Travel I have been fortunate to travel and live throughout the world. The experience one gains from travel and immersion into other cultures is imperative to personal growth. To experience culture from their perspective and worldview is an education in itself!

Professional I work at San Diego State University’s Interwork Institute. I am a Human resource Development Specialist and Project Coordinator for the PET-AIR Project. My focus is continuing education of rehabilitation personnel and to impact Tribal programs throughout the nation.

Acting Acting has always been my dream job. I enjoy portraying a character that is completely different from myself. It is challenging work and I enjoy it when I am able to portray characters other than the roles that I get that are physically focused.
